This is more of a bed and breakfast (only five rooms) rather than a hotel, but it is/was extremely nice. There is a sitting room, a nice dining room, a very nicely set out breakfast, and a sitting area where you check in that includes a coffee/tea bar, as well as complementary drinks if you want them - wine, limoncello, and I believe gin (I don't drink alcohol so didn't pay too close attention. Also things like peanuts and fruit. Outside is a historic market, but even though my room directly overlooked it, it wasn't a problem or too noisy. Bathroom was also good. Nits were small 1) no elevator, so you HAVE to climb about 3 1/2 flights of stairs (they will help carry your luggage but no way a handicapped or disabled person can stay here) and 2) it would have been nice if my room had a chair. But I would HIGHLY recommend it, classic Florence. Oh, and walking distance to the Uffizi, Duomo, Ponte Vechio, and really the Academy, tough that is a bit further.
