The location is really great. Right on the boardwalk with access to restaurants, treats and wineries.
My partner and I often stay in local hotels and to check them out for referrals to business associates and guests from out of town.
I would have given this hotel a 5 star review, but some room conditions we found strange for the age of the hotel and the price point of our room. We booked a 1 King Bed Sofa Bed with Riverview, and paid about $300 per night all told. Nice room and GREAT view...so beautiful at night with floor to ceiling windows. Bed was comfortable, and the styling and amenities were on point compared to similar hotels.
However, our room had seam tape coming loose in a visible line across the ceiling. It was hard NOT to look at it, as the main feature of a hotel room is a BED that you lie on and look directly at the ceiling. Other small challenges included weak shower water pressure, and where the rail glass door met the bottom when rolling the door open made a sound like nails on a blackboard - loud enough neighbors could hear. Charcoal colored wall paper in the bathroom was stylish, but something white was splattered on it from before we entered. The square toilet seat was interesting, but as squares do, it...ummm... had corners. There seemed to be a flat panel air exchanger on the duct system for the heat. When the heat kicked on and off, it was sheet metal loud and startling in the night.
Cozy Stay. Up the maintenance game for my last star!
