While this place was colorful, cute and well located for things to do around Tawas and Oscoda, it needs work. From the outside, it was cluttered and the beach furniture was very worn. The property needs some TLC. I can only speak to our cabin (#2) from the inside. It had a nice kitchen and bathroom, and there was adequate and comfortable seating for the kitchen table and sofa. The TV is very high up on the wall, so it wasn't comfortable to watch. Not much space to work with. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioner worked well. It needed a thorough cleaning beyond just the basics (which were fine). Walls and floors were dirty everywhere. Cobwebs, dirty pots and pans, and some curtains that were so worn you could almost see through them. We had issues with hot (even warm) water in the bathroom. It was late at night when we noticed it but the host was very responsive. He offered to send someone right away but we said the next day was fine. That person was very nice. By then, however, it was ok. The issue returned on the day we checked out. Toilet paper = sand paper. Went to Walmart and got our own. Pay close attention to the instructions the host sends you because they are slightly different than what hotels.com says in terms of amenities. There are no bath or beach towels, soap or shampoo. One kitchen towel and one bathroom hand towel was it. The beach is beautiful with lots of sand. People seemed to enjoy the kayaks and bonfire pits. We wouldn't stay again though.
