The check-in staff in the late evening was not helpful, but my guess is he was only enforcing a bad policy by management. I asked for a late check-out of 1 hour, even 30 minutes would help, and he told me "sure... we can do that for a fee of $XX / hour". I asked again, "I only need 30 minutes, you can't make this complementary", but was told, "that will cost you $XX."
I left without comment, but I was so angry I didnt even go into the cascino, and left the premise for dinner and to watch the football game.
It would be different if this wasn't my 10-12th time staying here, or if I had been told that the room needed to be turned over quickly for the next guest.
When the customer/guest feels taken advantage of... they vote with their feet. No need to argue, no reason to cause a scene.
You have a bad policy, a bad employee, or both.
