So close to being good... They clearly put some effort into renovating this at some point, but the upkeep isn't there and the materials used were not built to last. The tiny shelf in the bathroom was near falling off, long dark hairs on the wall in the shower, the shutters didn't block anywhere near as much light as blackout curtains would, the door didn't latch unless you really pushed or pulled on it. Most annoying was the fact that the water took forever to get warm, let alone actually getting hot enough to shower.
The guy at the desk was nice enough, held my bags when I arrived early, but then refused to let me leave a key for my partner who was coming in on a later flight. Apparently the desk guy needed me there, with my ID he had already checked, in order to check the ID of the person whose name I was leaving a key for, who had ID of his own? Luckily there was a shift change, and the second guy had no problem taking down my partner's name for a key.
I did call and ask them to make sure the door had shut when we left one morning (I couldn't remember if we had pulled it shut) and they obliged. I was also surprised to come back and find that housekeeping had come in. I feel like that's not expected in a lot of hotels, post-covid.
Price was great, location is awesome, with a city bus stop right outside providing a $2 ride to Disneyland. This was just for a couple of nights, so it was fine, but for any more than that, I would have wanted more amenities or comfort.
