When booking I knew that there was no “front desk” but this concept is still weird to me and while check in was smooth not to my liking. Having the front desk area empty also made for the hotel to feel unsafe, as anyone could just walk in and out of the place.
When requesting additional towels and blankets as the room did not have enough for the number of guests I was instructed where to go to get them (not being brought to the room by staff), making it a serve yourself where towels, blankets, toiletries etc. were open to the public.
Our room while the beds were comfortable the sheets felt like plastic. Our window faced a parking lot with a flood light that was on all night and our window curtains too small to cover the light coming in making it difficult to sleep. The tv did not work most of the time we were there, the channels were glitching and then we would get an error. The door did not have an upper latch as most hotels do, it just had the lock on the door itself.
There were a lot of food places near by and a school across the street, but the neighborhood did not seem the best so walking to the places was a bit nerve wracking.
I must say I was highly disappointed on this stay.
