Our stay was fine for the most part- the room was clean and had plenty of amenities, front desk staff were friendly and the location in the King Farm area was great to walk around and grab dinner in. However, the shower in our room did not get hot at all and ran out of (barely warm) water after about 10 minutes. Additionally, there was a $10/night parking fee that honestly seemed like nickel-and-diming guests, as there was a large parking lot.
My main issue started after the first night. I woke up to an email from my bank stating that they had blocked a $1500 (!!!) charge on my card from Sheraton. I immediately called the front desk to investigate, and was told that this was the "smoking fee". Not only was there absolutely zero smoking or vaping during my stay, this $1500 charge was absurd and a totally different number from the posted $300 smoking fee. The very apologetic front desk agent explained that the hotel had installed new sensors, and that they happened to be very sensitive and guests had ran into issues with them before. Despite this, my card was charged a total of four times over the weekend, each transaction being blocked by my bank.
Upon checkout, the supervisor assured me that there would be no more charges and that I would get the $250 incidental deposit back in full by the end of the week. Surprise, surprise...the end of the week comes and the previously pending incidental charge goes through. I email the General Manager about this twice, and after no respo
