Great stay with easy city access! We had a wonderful stay at the Dalmahoy Hotel. Our room was large, very clean, and the bathroom was excellent. The staff throughout the hotel were pleasant and incredibly helpful.Getting there: If you aren’t taking a taxi, public transport from Edinburgh is easy. We caught the X27/X28 bus from Princes Street; it costs £2.40 and takes about 35 minutes. The bus stops at the end of the hotel drive—just be aware that it is a beautiful but very long walk up to the hotel, which can be a bit of a workout if you have a large suitcase!Dining: Breakfast offered plenty of choice. We also ate at the Brasserie restaurant twice; the food was faultless and really nice, though a slightly more varied menu for a second night would have been great. We also walked to the nearby village of Ratho and found a lovely pub called The Bridge Inn on the canal—highly recommended if you're looking for a nice meal.Facilities: We made good use of the swimming pool and the pitch-and-putt golf course, both of which were great fun.We would definitely stay here again when we return to Edinburgh. Thank you, Dalmahoy Hotel!
