The room itself was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Parking was easy. The staff was friendly and very helpful.The reasons for my lower rating are:
1. Hotels com did not advise me that the hotel was pet friendly when I made the reservation. At check-in the staff told me they could not guarantee that no pets had been in the room. (This is a complaint against Hotels.com, not the hotel.
2. The main lobby and entry area were messy and unwelcoming including a bag of garbage outside the entry door.
For $200 per night at a Hampton Inn the experience did not match the price or the hotel chain's reputation.
