I stayed at this hotel in December and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
First, the room was not up to standard. It did not match the description or photos advertised online. Our room lacked the views and lush greenery. Our view was a parking lot. Located beside a sushi restaurant, above the spa, beside a permanent residence with 3 dogs, and adjacent to a busy road with loud noises. Sleeping was impossible. No sense of security.
Most frustrating was the hotel staff’s inability (or unwillingness) to properly address the issues I raised during my stay. When I reported the problems with the room on the first day, I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously, and no effective solution was provided at the time.
After returning home, I contacted the property to follow up. I was informed that they had offered to move me to another hotel. This never happened. I booked the room six months in advance, so the hotel had time to communicate that they had overbooked prior to my stay. During my stay, they did admit that the room was not in line with the rest of the property but they were totally booked and another room was not available. The staff failed to resolve the situation during my stay, which left me feeling frustrated and unsupported. We were given a 10% discount after returning home.
