Theres 2 hotels in the same county with same name, we didnt even get to stay because of a miscommunication and because it was a same day booking, the rules clearly state its a non refundable/no cancel, they denied our request for a refund on my points that i used to book the room. I dont have a problem with the rules, the problem with is, i messaged the property through the hotels.com app but never recieved a response..however when we contacted the hotel over the phone... she said it was cancelled... when hotels.com escalated my case, they told me i would recieve my refund request pending the confirmation from the hotel.. my request came back denied, the hotel ended up charging the no show and i was assed out. Hotels.com has something in their policy about honest mistakes like this for example i.e. property with same names but it also states that it is up to the agents own discretion and they may reinstate the points in good faith. I wasnt granted any of that opportunity.
