Cheap and close to attractions but meh

Place is dated, but mostly clean. I booked a room with a king size bed 2 months in advance, when my husband and I arrived we were given a room with 2 full size beds and told that our booking app must have been responsible for the error. Then said that that only have 1 king room and it is out of order. Beds were not comfortable at all, but the shower was hot and had good pressure. No ice anywhere to be found, so keep that in mind.

Hershey trip

The hotel was all right I think a lot of hotels need to get rid of their carpeting it's very nasty, stained and dirty just like in our room. We were given a handicap room which I don't understand besides the fact that I requested a king size bed when I booked the room. Nonetheless the room was all right no bag for the ice bucket, no cups in the room our bathroom sink look like it was detaching off the wall and when I kind of pushed it back it knocked it off the pipe so I had to put the bucket underneath the sink to catch the water I let the front desk personnel know he seen it and basically said to leave the bucket underneath the sink and he'll have maintenance look at it but not that day another day. šŸ™„ I like that the windows actually open I like to have fresh air in the room. We couldn't find the ice machine. The shower curtain had mold on it there's an easy solution to that either wash the curtain or buy PEVA mold resistant shower curtain. I spent the whole day at Hershey and when we came back there was no parking in the front so I had to park in the back there was a customer coming out to get something from his car and I asked him if we needed the key to get into the back door and he said no and rightfully so there is no key entry in the back which mean anyone can come into the hotel and the biggest problem that I had with this hotel which would probably make me not booked again with Super 8 is there's NO POOL..... Fall and winter fine but summer and no pool not good.

Find somewhere else

From the outside it doesn't look bad. The inside however was a different story. The lobby was ok. Typical hotel lobby. Nothing extraordinary about it. The manager seemed like a nice guy. He was very friendly and informative. Check-in went fine. Now, the room itself was dirty. The floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed properly. There were stains on the floor in multiple places. The bedside table and tv stand had sticky drink rings on them. They were definitely not wiped down very well, if at all. The bathroom door didn't shut fully unless you applied some force to shut it, and then you had a hard time opening it back up. The main room door didn't open and close very well either. I had to use some force to open it from the outside on multiple occasions. There is a stairwell in the back. We used that to bring our stuff in and out since we parked in the back. The stairwell was filthy. There was used tissues laying in the corner. Along with small liquor bottles. Wallpaper was coming off in multiple places. The stairwell looked like it hadn't been touched for a long time. This place isn't being taken care of the way it should be. It was a cheap option and I completely see why. I was glad it was just for the one night. If I'm back this way I'll try to find a much better option on where to lay my head down for the night. Even if it costs more.

It was fine

The manager was very helpful and always available. Issues where my key cards kept shorting out after a day(they were kept seperate from everything in my wallet) so it was annoying to have to get new ones each day. Also would've loved to have room cleaning each day. And the doors to all the hotel rooms require you to slam them hard to shut them which isnt ideal for people sleeping.

Don't waste your money

The room was dirty, with food on the floor and smelled of urine in areas. When checking in I was repeatedly asked if I had a reservation cause they didnā€™t take walkins and they were full. I never said anything to management to be honest cause we were exhausted and just wanted to make due and leave asap and didn't think we could get anything else if they were full. My feet stuck to the floor when checking in and the room wasn't better. Our smoke detector in our room was covered with a bag and looked smashed in, the hall way to out back smelled horrible and the wallpaper or whatever it was, was peeling and falling off. I understand this is a older place and don't expect it to be like brand new but this was horrible. I don't understand how the rating was so high thru this site when I booked it.

The hotel is disgusting, do not recommend staying.

When we entered the room, notice that the bathroom had not been cleaned. There was poop stains & hair in the toilet. So I walked into the hall and asked the cleaning person if they could clean the bathroom. So they made my daughter & I wait in the hall & just said ā€œyeah, it was dirty.ā€ We were in town for a Lax tournament. After checking in we went out for early dinner. When we came back to the room for the night, I lifted the sheets and there was hair & crumbs in the beds - it was really gross. ( not ours of course) I went to the front desk, had to call for assistance, the person who was supposed to be at the front desk answered the phone and told me she was outside & would be come in a few minutes ( she was outside smoking) She took her time finishing her smoke. I asked for the sheets to be changed, and went back to the room. After waiting another 20-25 minutes. I decided that the room was way too gross for us to stay at that hotel. So when the lady final got to our room, we told her that we were leaving. It was not worth the stay. So we drove 2.5 hrs back home - what a major inconvenience in a total waste of my money.
