This was a quirky hotel, with both advantages and disadvantages. On the positive side, it was super convenient to where we needed to be. Parking was free and convenient, breakfast was modest but complimentary, and the common areas were nicely decorated. We got a huge room (larger than expected), with plenty of space to spread out.
On the other hand, the place had a rather odd vibe. We only saw an employee once, and we had to call him from the lobby in order to check in. He was friendly enough, and gave us good recommendations for local things to do, but we never saw him or anyone else again during the rest of our stay. It didn't seem like the desk was staffed except when someone called the posted phone number. Both the bathroom and kitchen area in our room had a steady stream of ants, which was somewhat annoying. Our home gets ants sometimes too, in the summer, so we understand they can be problematic, especially in older buildings.
The price of the room seemed a bit high for the accommodations. We might stay here again, but most likely would look for other options.
