4/10
Booked a self contained room with kitchen due to one of our party having coeliac disease and wanting to cook for ourselves.
The kitchen didn't even have the bare minimum. There were 3 forks, 2 knives, 4 teaspoons, no desert spoons, no kettle ,no toaster and very little crockery. There was no sharp knife for preparing vegetables. I had to use a large meat knife to prepare food. The cutlery was dirty, as was the used sponge and one of the drawers. The kitchen felt grubby. The kitchen cupboards were far too high for me to reach anything. I have to get my husband to reach whatever I needed. The room was not fit for purpose and I suggest ,if it cannot be done properly, it shouldn't be done at all. When we arrived at The Best Western we were very tired after a long drive and were expecting better. It wasn't cheap. We have stayed in several of these types of rooms with a kitchen. all of them have been excellent apart from The Best Western.
