This place is currently undergoing renovations. The lobby is looking much better, but the brooms are very old and dated. We particularly dislike the bathrooms. Here’s a picture of our bathroom. The glass enclosure won’t stay shut causing water to lay on the floor. The body wash is empty. The shower controls require a manual to operate. Even the counter sink has old-style faucets. On a positive note, the gym was spacious and well-equipped. However, the only towels available in the gym are meant for the pool, you need to buzz an attendant to get in and the tv screen in front of the exercise bikes is a lovely shade of blue. Tip: If you’re going to have the tv on with no sound it’s nice to turn closed captioned on so people exercising don’t have to lip read. The morning breakfast was basic but nice although someone asked to verify our room number three times. The dining area felt a bit clinical kind of like a seniors home. Downtown Westport was a 15 minute walk away but over a hiily street.
