While the property itself is beautiful the remainder of the stay was disappointing. First, parking for check in was occupied by patrons of the restaurant and an ongoing event leaving absolutely no parking near the hotel office. After walking almost .5 miles from the car to check in we were provide a map to locate our room which again had no parking near. The information for the hotel states there is a bellhop, but checking in at 7:30pm was not offered by hotel staff. Reaching the room required a .5 walk back to the car and carrying luggage another mile from the car to the room and down 2 flights of stairs. Arrive to the room increased the disappointment as it was dated with a nest of bugs in the corner of the room. We attempted to call Goosefeather for room service and a recording answered requesting a message be left, with no return call, or answer for the next 30mins we attempted to reach them. Breakfast at the mansion was beyond disgusting and cost over $75 (website states $25 per person) for a party of 2. Food was cold, and most options were near gone. We made the decision to check out a day early. Upon checking out and explaining the issue with bugs and incorrect coat for breakfast the young lady running the desk stated that she just worked there….and she would tell her manager…..2 days later, no call from management. Save your money, don’t stay at this establishment.
