The pictures on the listing are very deceiving. The curtains were falling off, shower was missing the hot water knob, no blankets only sheets, and the room was dark and dirty. We had to wait two hours to check in because they just reopened that day after a health inspection. When we returned the room still needed towels and pillows. We walked in the room, looked around and canceled because it was gross and did not feel safe.

***BEWARE***When we checked in we noticed that the room smelled. When we checked under the sheets we found that the beds and carpet were both stained with bodily fluids. We went to the front desk and told them we decided not to stay. He told us to leave the door open and the keys in the room. Now they are refusing to refund us for our nights stay.

The hotel cancelled my reservation as I was sitting in my truck in their parking lot, 38 minutes before check-in at 2pm. I will copy paste the message below. Also I have called expedite no less than five times trying to get my money refunded. And I am still trying. So DO NOT go to this hotel. And it might also be a good idea to not use this app. Hi there, the Love Hotels Tomahawk just closed a moment ago. We apologize for the inconvenience; your reservation has been canceled and a refund will be issued. Thank you, and have a great day.

For how old and run down this hotel was, the staff had done well to keep it clean. I had contact with Cody, who was very attentive and concerned about making things right. He was fixing the problem from my first room before I had repacked and left. The LOVE company could definitely invest a little money in a new sign and some renovations!

This was a horrible place. The rooms stunk. The floor was soft and soggy. The bathroom floor was so soft that my foot visibly sunk down. My wife had an asthma attack within 3 minutes of entering the room. We ended up not staying there and finding another place. I don’t know how this place is allowed to stay open to people.

shower knobs were not secured, Dirty and dated. Pillows were uncomfortable. Took almost an hour to check in as the people in front of us were waiting for keys to their room that the host could not find. We’d stay again. Despite lack of curb appeal- including indoor furniture set up outside rooms and sand/dirt all over ground and paved areas- beds and rooms are new looking and white sheets/linens clean and cozy. I love the 1950s bathrooms with yellow tile and fixtures. Place is quiet at night, no smell of smoke. Tomahawk, WI manager Cody is working very hard to fix this place up from the inside out. Handled our requests with respect and promptness. Love is the new owner’s last name I was told as my mind wondered about the type of motel I had just chosen to stay at with my mother.

Nothing fancy

One level, bare bones hotel, nothing fancy, outdated. Check in at office with friendly and helpful staff. Hotel going under change of ownership. Minimum free breakfast. Only door know lock on room door. Heat worked great l. Old fridge and micro but both worked . Mattress comfortable. Bathroom with walk-in shower and instant hot water. Priced right. Ok stay if you’re a ‘guy’, on the road . Had some car trouble and staff was available to help.

Save your money this property is disgusting. Opened the door to our room, and I think there were more bugs inside than outside. Additionally, the room had a funky odor. It had the appearance of a place that hookups & crackheads would hang out. It was so bad we did not stay. At 10 PM at night we sought out other sleeping accommodations. Thank goodness we were able to accommodate.

False advertising! The pictures they showed on the website is not what you get. Room was dark, depressing, and poorly maintained. Beds were relatively comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Garbage on the floor that should have been seen by housekeeper. This was supposed to be “remodeled”. ?!?!?

The property is an older traditional motel. It is dated and hasn't been upgraded or modernized. However, everything in the room except one bedside light worked fine, and it was clean. The room has a refrigerator and the heat/ac unit also worked well. The bed was very comfortable. The shower unit had plenty of hot water. The room is spacious for a motel. It could use more lights and plugs and a window curtain and shade which offered more options for privacy while allowing some light. The motel is located on the main route in town and offers easy access to gas, food, and shopping. Free parking close to the room entrance is provided. Overall, a perfectly satisfactory motel for spending a few nights visiting the area, and at a very reasonable price.
