I wouldn't recommend to family or friends. I found the hotel to be nice-looking, well-kept, and clean, but there was:
1. no *cold* water in my room (so I couldn't shower/bathe, as the water was too hot, unless I ran a bath and let it sit for a few hours -- upon reporting to multiple hotel staff multiple times no-one seemed that surprised or able/willing to 1) move my room 2) otherwise address the problem?),
2. no AC (which may be fine, most of the time, but it was very hot while we were there),
3. not strong enough internet for me do to work calls
4. not a lot of help coordinating a late checkout/early check-in, to plan for someone landing early from the airport
5. definitely no frills like a mini-fridge/robes/etc, which was again fine, but given the price, seemed a little surprising, and generally the bare minimum (eg just two bath towels for a 3-person booking in a 3-perosn room)
On the whole, it was just really odd - most of this stuff wouldn't bug me too much (other than not being able to shower) but at this price point, you'd expect... to be able to shower? Or someone to care if you couldn't? Or am I just too American for assuming this is a given?
