Two night stay, Saturday and Sunday night. On the Saturday the place was horrendously business and it was as if we had stepped into a nightclub with the noise from the bar!
They have self check in which is a bit of a nightmare but luckily a person became available to help.
The place is very well presented and maintained and our room which was on the first floor was small yet comfortable.
The bathroom had a great shower but poor extraction, so by the end of a shower the walls were dripping with condensation and there wasn't a dry spot in the bathroom!
The rooms are not soundproof and you hear everything. We were disturbed many times during the night with people walking down the corridor talking and slamming doors.
Thankfully on the Sunday night it was quieter but we were then awoken early by loud music from below. It then turned out that we were above a studio room in the gym where they were holding exercise classes. No lie in for us!
All in all, very mixed opinions about this place but will probably never use a Village Hotel again
