Spent $300 on a suite for my daughter’s birthday, when I arrived I was told my reservation wasn’t there. When I insisted that it was there, they finally found it but said I still owed (Expedia had already charged my card and taken it from my account). I showed them my bank statement and Expedia receipt showing that I paid, and they still said it wasn’t on their end and that I would have to pay. Tried to contact Expedia where I spent the whole time on the phone with them saying they would call the hotel to verify (which they did three times because I was in the lobby and heard the conversation). The Expedia customer rep then tried to transfer me multiple times when I said I wanted a refund because I already had to book a whole new room at the hotel and pay an EXTRA $300. When I asked for a refund, they said “let me contact the hotel” which I said “NO, that has already been done three times and I have been transferred twice”. I will never again book through Expedia, absolute nightmare to deal with this on my daughter’s birthday.
