When I booked this hotel, the reviews seemed decent for the price. There were older negative reviews, but more recent ones mentioned the hotel had been remodeled, which made me feel more confident.
When I arrived, I tried to check in early, but no one was at the front desk. After about 10 minutes, someone spoke through the Ring camera and said early check-in wasn’t available due to being fully booked the night before. I understood and came back later. The man at the front desk was very nice and helpful, but that was the only time I saw him. I did not see him throughout my day or when I would go into the front desk office.
The hallways and stair areas looked dirty, and the building seemed to need maintenance. The room looked nice at first, but the walls inside were also dirty. The towels had visible stains, and one of the bed sheets had a stain as well, so we removed it. It was late, so we didn’t request replacements.
Overall, the hotel has potential, but it feels poorly maintained and understaffed, which seems like a management issue. It just needs better cleaning and upkeep to match the expectations set by the newer reviews.
