I was genuinely excited to stay at this boutique hotel after reading glowing reviews, but that excitement faded almost immediately upon entering our room. The first thing that hit us was a strange, musty smell, and the room was uncomfortably warm. Thankfully, the A/C kicked in once we adjusted it, but that initial impression was hard to shake.
We didn’t linger long since we had a concert to attend, but when we returned later that night, things didn’t improve. Trying to sleep was a challenge—the lights from the patio streamed in so brightly that it felt like daylight. The trim around the windows seemed to amplify the glow, making it nearly impossible to rest. At least the room was quiet, which was the only real comfort.
Morning brought more disappointment. The towels were shockingly thin and worn—definitely not what you’d expect from a hotel claiming four-star status. As I was getting ready to leave, I sat in the chair near the coffee table to put on my shoes, only to find it covered in old drink rings and grime. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years.
While the staff were friendly and polite, the overall experience was far from luxurious. This hotel is in serious need of a refresh. Based on our stay, I wouldn’t rate it anywhere near a 9.0 or call it a four-star experience. Disappointing and surprising, to say the least.
