We booked two double rooms for three nights. We stayed at this same hotel the year before, without any problems. The facilities and rooms need some maintenance, but the decline the last 12 months have been very noticeable. The cleaning (or lack of it) was the worst. The first two rooms we were offered had 1) a large stain on the bedsheet and 2) both rooms had filthy bathrooms and generally a lot of hair on the floors, both in the bathroom and in the bedrooms. When we complained we were offered two new rooms, one of which was not cleaned after the previous guest, the other had hairs on the floor and an absolutely disgusting shower/bathtub. We were then offered two new rooms (5th and 6th attempt of presenting a somewhat clean room.) These rooms also had hair on the floor in the bathroom and bedroom. One of them had a bad odor. The hallways and elevators also were noticeable dirt with a lot of dust. Needless to say we gave up and checked out the next morning. The night manager tried to help us, but the day manager refused to answer hotels.com when they repeatedly tried to contact the hotel by phone and e-mail. (I stood in the reception with no other guests present, while she refused to answer the call from hotels.com.) I have never before needed to complain over a hotel room, and I stay in a lot of hotels both for work and vacation. Stay away from this place, regardless of price. The only positive I can say is that the staff at hotels.com were excellent and helped me a lot.
