10/10
I stayed here as a part of a solo hiking trip to Hocking Hills, and I could not have been more impressed.
The price was exceptional (two nights for less than the price of one elsewhere). And to be clear, this isn't a high-end place with a ton of frills. But there is more than enough to make it a tremendous value.
My only interaction with staff was professional and quick. The public areas are well apportioned...reasonably clean with plenty of light. I even went to the patio area my first morning and the views were great.
The room was incredibly clean. Spotless. The bathroom and shower were the same. Even the corners and inside the microwave and fridge.
I've read some complaints about the bed being uncomfortable. Mine was absolutely fine...a bit on the soft side, but nothing at all uncomfortable.
Breakfast was lean...a waffle maker but no other hot items. But what they had (prepackaged muffins, granola bars, cereal) was fine. The coffee was also very good.
This is a place which is a hidden gem and, if I'm ever in the area again, whether solo, or with family, I will be staying here.
Kudos to the staff and students of Hocking College for running such a good institution.
