We were a bit disappointed with this stay. Despite spending a lot for one night, we had a cramped, hot room. The double bed was truly the European double size - the equivalent of a US full, which is not inconsistent with how it was advertised. But you do actually usually get bigger with a European double.
The worst aspect was that we were given an ADA handicap-accessible room, which we had not requested. This meant that the bathroom was excessively huge, likely cannibalizing the bedroom space. It had an open shower that did not drain properly, causing a build-up of stick, slippery muck all over the bathroom floor. It was disgusting. No ventilation in the bathroom either, which became an oven.
Other issues were the noise on the street which was not surprising given we requested a street view (but a problem when you leave windows open at night for ventilation), plus the restaurant was really disappointing in terms of both service time and the food quality. The lobby decor is lovely land the build certainly has character and charm, but we look elsewhere next time.
Chocolates in the room were a nice touch.
