We stayed at the Oranmore Lodge Hotel, Conference and Leisure Centre for 3 nights. Overall, it was a decent experience, but not without its shortcomings.
The hotel is set in a (once) beautiful Victorian-style building with real character, but unfortunately, much of it feels dated and in need of a full refurbishment. The suite I stayed in had no real view — it looked directly onto the leisure centre, which was disappointing. Cleanliness throughout the premises could be improved, and common areas weren’t particularly well maintained.
While the hotel is positioned as good value for money, it ultimately fell short of expectations. You’d be better off staying at a solid 3-star (newer) hotel for less — or if you're after something more special, consider paying a bit more for a true 4-star or castle experience in the region.
With some investment and attention to detail, this hotel could really shine, but for now, it doesn't quite hit the mark.
