Manny was amazingly helpful on the phone before I arrived and after. Unfortunately, Derrick did not seem to care when I asked for help or had questions.
My first night, I could not get up into my bunk because of the way the ladder was designed. I called the front desk three times and no one would answer the phone. I was already in my pajamas, so I didn't go downstairs. I left a message the third time I called, explaining that I needed help, a ladder or a stepping stool. Hours went by without anyone coming to the room or even returning my call. I was tired and wanted to get to sleep. I took one of the foot stools from the common area, put it on top of the bench in the room under the bunk ladder and finally got into bed. The four days I stayed, no one asked me how I got into bed. Even one of my room mates said she could not get into the top bunk either. One day I forgot to put my toiletries into the locker and had left a couple things on the credenza. When I got back to the room after being out all day, my toiletries were gone and the things on the credenza were gone, even my prescription glasses. I asked Derrick if an employee turned in my belongings. He showed me the almost empty lost and found box, but did not seem to care. When I went back upstairs, I saw a staff person and told her what happened. She reminded me that everything must go into the lockers and gave me a bag with my things. I know she has to follow rules, but, one time and my stuff is taken?!
