Horrible Experience
Finding the hotel was the first challenge. The signage is terrible, and it’s tucked behind a vacant, unkempt building off a busy road.
At check-in, the price I booked through Hotels.com ($285.14) suddenly became $306.26. When I questioned it, the front desk employee called someone, disappeared into a back room, then returned saying his manager required me to pay the hotel’s rate because “third parties haven’t been paying us.” I was told it was too late to cancel, so I’d be charged their rate regardless.
After I contacted Hotels.com, the employee said he’d “take the heat” and offered me a new price of $264.04, assuring me there would be no additional charges. At checkout, I found an unauthorized $42.22 charge anyway. I was also given one receipt, then chased down in the parking lot and asked to return it because it was the “wrong one.” I was handed a completely different receipt instead.
The room itself was fine, and I likely would have stayed again since my son has events nearby twice a year. Unfortunately, the billing practices ruined the experience. They also don’t answer their phone—they either hang up or leave you on hold until you give up.
I spent fewer than eight hours in the room and have since disputed the unauthorized charge with my bank. I will never stay here again or recommend this hotel.
