From beginning to end, this was a very disappointing experience. Other than the excellent location and pleasant building, there is little to commend this hotel. The first room we were given had hardly any daylight and was by the bins and service entrance, resulting in us being woken at 5-5.30am each day by the garbage truck and deliveries. The ac also didn’t work properly. They only managed to move us on the third night. There was no apology, compensation, etc. The shower in the new room didn’t work properly. Cleanliness was bad in both rooms and the first bathroom gave me a verruca. Cleaning staff let themselves into the second room without knocking and tried to come into the first room after we’d just checked in. At check out we left our luggage with them but, despite giving us a numbered tag, they needed us to go in to find the luggage. When we tried to book a taxi to the airport they said that they’d booked, but didn’t actually book one, so we had to go and wait while they then booked at the time we were supposed to leave. They then gave us a transfer vehicle which wasn’t what we’d asked for, without telling us the price or checking with us. The service overall was very bad and the hotel was very badly run. This wasn’t the service I’d expect at even a basic hotel.
