We stayed several nights here and would not choose this hotel again. The location is great. It's a five minute walk to the MBTA and there are lots of terrific restaurants/shops in Coolidge Corner. But for the price, the hotel itself was disappointing. It's kind of like staying in a Motel 6. The bathroom was subpar. No fan, a broken toilet paper holder, and the shower flooded the floor twice. The beds were okay, but I joked my pillows were made of rock. Outlets next to the beds were not installed properly and our chargers kept falling out of the wall.
The hotel pool is a let down. It's only 3.5 feet deep all the way around and it is very narrow. We never saw anyone using it. The water dispenser in the fitness room was also broken. (So many things in disrepair, even though they claimed this hotel had recently been remodeled.) Most of the staff were lovely, and our requests were responded to promptly. We opted not to use the restaurant, as there were many better choices blocks away.
This isn't a terrible hotel, especially if you can book it for under $200 a night. We were comfortable, but did not particularly enjoy our stay. After reading all the glowing reviews, we had high expectations that were not met.
