Let's start from the moment we checked in. The front desk rolled his eyes at me when I had to ask a question more than once, I had been on the road since 3am some understanding for tired guests would be nice.
The room was not what it is made out to be. The lights in the bathroom were crooked and the light socket covers were not even on they were hanging half off . The lamp shades are falling apart and we had to use one of the very few towels provided for 2 people to keep the bedside table closed.
The room was not cleaned, it was just pass by cleaned. I found someone else's contact on the bathroom wall, and dirt with other people's hair in the corner as well. I also found glitter from Mardi Gras which tells me that not much attention was given.
I understand it is a historic hotel, I love staying in them with all their charm! However, when you run such a facility it should be kept up. I had a piece of the floor almost go thru my foot. When I looked closer the floor board is rotten and covered with paint like it is going to hide the problems. The shower went ice cold as well as I was shampooing my hair.
This stay was not the hopes that my husband and I had, we were so excited and looked so forward to our stay with you this has been such a huge let down.
