The property garden area was well maintained and the rooms looked nice, however, the room was not as clean as I would have expected.
The staff was lovely and welcoming, but the service in terms of timeliness could use some work. We left and came back after hours and still had to wait a while before the room was ready. We were eventually given another room instead.
The only dining available was not open until 10am and after waiting until the opening time, the menu was underwhelming.
I would give the hotel another try in the future because overall my family and I enjoyed ourselves.

Great pool, and beach. Exterior of resort is dated. A lot of steps from room to pool and beach. Inside was updated however we felt the steps in the unit were dangerous. Also, had puddles of water outside of unit for entire time of stay. Parking not favorable

The property was well laid out. I enjoyed the walk-out beach access that my room offered. My only negatives would be the food at the restaurant and the lack of parking. I ordered a NY strip and shrimp plate. The demi glaze sauce was TOO salty and made the steak inedible and the shrimp were charbroiled to a blackened state for a dish that was not blackened.
To improve customer service, I would recommend daily housekeeping service rather than the COVID schedule that many facilities have adopted. People want to be unencumbered with worrying about making beds, clean linens, towels and trash attracting ants.
Overall, a very nice resort. I would return.

The privacy was awesome. The beach was amazing and the location of our room was literally steps from the beach. What i didnt like was without a rental it sucks. The staff should make it known how important a rental car is. They have very limited options for food. The market on the property sucks and is super expensive. The one and only place to eat opens at 10am so early breakfast is out the window. Their menu sucked. You end up spending hundreds of dollars on taxi's. The pool bar closes at 6pm...it was a beautiful resort but definitely many disappointments

The door to the room as well as the exterior entrance leading to the door could use updating. The room itself could use updating/cleaning as well.

Manageable
Nice resort with a lovely pool and small private beach, but we didnāt realize they donāt provide complimentary room service so keeping the room clean was an issue as we invariably brought in some sand everyday. The drinks & snack shop by the pool has very limited hours. No service provided by the beach so itās not really like a resort but more like an apartment-hotel, where you are on your own for everything.
The shop for guests to buy any supplies inside is expensive. Onsite restaurant was ok but overpriced as well.

We chose the Limetree because of its price, appearance, and location; close to other properties and near downtown. The beaches looked nice and the hotel updated. Upon arriving at the the hotel, the receptionist said that we were moved to another property. They said we were notified but were not. We watched as they offered another incoming guest a drink. It would have gone a long way if the receptionists had been apologetic and accommodating in any way. I read other reviews that stated similiar experiences, but I thought it was a fluke. Not so! The other property we were moved to had lower ratings and charged less per night; yet we were not given a discount. The location of the alternate hotel was isolated and the beaches were pretty gross. There were ants in the room, a leaking toilet and the room was dated. It was really far from where we wanted to be. At least management were kind at the second place.

Not all it seemed
Didnāt have the booking days correct. I paid in full on Hotels.com and the hotel had us checking out 2 days sooner. Got that fixed. Ended up charged another $1500 when we checked out. They donāt know really why and will look into it supposedly. Boxes and empty containers in our room when we got there. Had to ask for more towels, toilet paper, etc. The room was also much smaller than the pics on website. We had friends that stayed as well and there room was what the the website looked like and they didnāt have trash in their room upon check in.

Don't stay here
If you want to be on vacation where the hotel pool and amenities is also the community pool to locals then this is your place. Called the hotel to address the issue and their response was why didnāt you inform us ? Well, I wasnāt aware that was my job and also there is a security that walks laps around the resort. shouldnāt he have that responsibility not the guest? Isnāt that his job?
There are many animals on the property, which wouldnāt be an issue if they actually kept them away from
the pool deck. You can expect to swim with duck, rooster, chicken and/or iguana poop along with all the locals. Other guest attempted to clean some of it up with leaves only to have other guest step right into it. Extremely unhygienic.
On the first night we had the fire alarm go off in the middle of the night. A glitch maybe or out of battery not sure. We called for assistance, no one came to check on the alarm until
The next day 4pm. Thankfully
We were able to mute it after an hour of nonstop ringing ourselves. We are Still waiting on the towels we never received. Sometimes you call for the golf cart to take you uphill to the lobby and it may or may not show up - another guest had to walk up this hill in high heels (unfortunately). The prices at the bar are more expensive than other resorts. We went to newly opened Westin property and they had cheaper prices for much better service, food/drinks and ambience.

They kept charging my credit card every couple if days & I didnāt authorize it . The last day thru charged me $575 and when I asked what it was for they told me it was just a hold. It did hit home off so I am disputing it .

The property was absolutely beautiful. What was most important was the staff. Manuel(property manager) really took it upon himself to make a booking disaster(not the property's fault) into a normal and very enjoyable experience for us. We'd also like to personally thank the rest of the phenomenal staff that aided in our stay , Micaela, Kirsten and the other concierge gentleman(sorry cant remember his name), Ashley and Michai were all very instrumental in our extraordinary visit. We would definitely visit Limetree resort again !
