I stayed at Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lodi/North for a week, and the experience was extremely frustrating from start to finish. There was no prior notice that the hotel would be undergoing construction during my stay. I only found out after arriving and seeing a paper at the front desk. This lack of communication is unacceptable, especially for guests who are paying to relax on vacation.
Every morning, I was woken up by loud construction noise, making it impossible to rest. On top of that, there were multiple issues with the water. While showering, the water would suddenly shut off mid-shower, forcing me to wait over five minutes for it to come back. The sink water was also inconsistent and often became extremely hot without warning, which was both inconvenient and concerning.
Additionally, the hotel advertised 24-hour laundry services on its website and app, but I was unable to use them at all during my stay because they were also under construction. This was misleading and added to the overall inconvenience.
Had I known about these issues beforehand, I would have never booked this hotel. The lack of transparency, combined with the constant disruptions and maintenance problems, made for a very disappointing experience.
