On the plus side, coffee in the lobby was hot and fresh each morning and the location was great and within walking distance of the Hi Desert Museum and several restaurants. Unfortunately there were many negatives: the “continental breakfast” left much to be desired and was set up in the minuscule lobby and had toaster that barely functioned - and only prepackaged sweet pastries and a few apples were available. The bedspread was old, stained and slippery polyester. I requested a flat sheet at the front desk as a substitute to cover the blanket but he declined. I was able to obtain a sheet from housekeeping the following morning. So weird, it didn’t seem like an unreasonable request. The chairs are old and threadbare, the paint is chipping, the paint around the toilet paper holder looked like it was done by a toddler, the bathroom door was dirty, the floor lamp is falling off its base, there was hair in the sink, we were awakened at 2am by young people yelling in the hallway, there was dirt/leaves in the downstairs hallway. Fortunately we were away most of the day x2 days or we would have found another hotel. We’re baffled that anyone finds this hotel acceptable and Super 8/Wyndham should be ashamed of this property.
