I didn’t actually get to stay there. We parked there at noon and were told we could check in after 3 (as expected). When we returned at 6 we were told that we had to be moved to another hotel due to plumbing problems in our reserved room. We were also told that an email had been sent 6 hours earlier (though I had no email from the hotel. I even checked Hotels.com messages. Nothing.) We were assured that the new hotel was an “upgrade”. The new hotel (The Siren) was no upgrade. No onsite parking, in downtown Detroit which was not our desired location, had to climb a spiral staircase to get to an uncomfortable bed in a loft, the world’s most unsuitable sofa in the tiny living area, and no mini fridge. I know, first world problems, but this is not what we paid for. So maybe the Ferry Inn is delightful. I’ll never know. We should have been offered a refund or at least a deep discount on the room at The Siren. I am very disappointed in the Customer Service from Ferry Inn.
