My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The first room we were given had a door that was literally falling apart and kept getting stuck, which was both frustrating and concerning from a safety standpoint. On top of that, the room had a strong, unpleasant odor, and one of the chairs was broken.
We requested a different room, hoping for an improvement, but unfortunately the second room was no better. It also had a bad smell, and to make matters worse, none of the light switches worked except for the one in the bathroom. At that point, we went back to the front desk, only to be told those were the only two rooms available.
Out of the two, we had no choice but to go back to the first room since it was slightly less problematic. The front desk staff member did come up with us, but instead of offering a real solution, she sprayed the walls with an unlabeled liquid from a bottle, which I could only assume was some kind of air freshener. That did little to address the underlying issues.
Switching hotels wasn’t an option due to time constraints, as we had an event to attend, so we were stuck making the best of a bad situation. Thankfully, I usually travel with my own cleaning supplies, which helped somewhat, though I had forgotten my plug-in freshener.
Overall, this was a very uncomfortable experience, and I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made.
