It was alright. I was a little disgruntled at first. I reserved through hotels.com and selected the “reserve now, pay at property” option. On the day we planned to arrive, they attempted to charge my credit card twice at 4am. Check in wasn’t until 3pm. I keep my cards locked to avoid unauthorized charges, so they were unsuccessful with their 4am attempts to collect payment.
Now at 3pm when I checked it, I unlocked my cards, submitted payment, then relocked my cards. I guess I’m confused about the “reserve now, pay at property” option. To me it means you pay when you arrive, not 12 hours prior to your arrival.
Another issue, we had a room with a view. Yep, room 113 has a great view of the dumpster that is placed right outside the rooms window. Saw a couple crackhesds or homeless people digging through the dumpster during our stay. I checked the window and it was unlocked. So I locked it to make sure that our room with a view that provided a show didn’t become an 3D interactive experience.
The placement of the dumpster and the homeless people isn’t the staff’s fault though. That falls onto the designers of the building. Plenty of other place to locate that trash bin, but right out side a rooms window must have been the most enjoyable for them.
