An emphasis on friendly customer service would be beneficial. We arrived between 9 - 10 pm.. there was no one at the front desk. The employee who was sweeping the floor went to the back and after a minute, a young woman came out to check us in. After we completed check in, I told her we were IHG members, and she asked for our membership number..we didn't know it...(the night prior, we stayed at a Holiday Inn Express IHG in Missouri and the desk attendant looked up our membership number using our cell # and email)..we told her we didn't know it but could give her our cell# and email but she said she couldn't look it up that way. (When we checked out, I had located our membership number and asked the AM lobby attendant, who was very friendly, if she could apply our stay to our IHG acct and she did). The breakfast buffet attendant also lacked customer service...she did not greet us or smile and when my husband picked up a biscuit with his fingers, she loudly told him to "use the tongs", which were not at the station, so she pointed to a pair at the bacon platter. I will say the buffet and breakfast area were well maintained and clean.
