Having normal expectations of a hotel, you’re made to feel like a massive inconvenience. Checked in and was given a room with 2 large windows that were fully open. Fine, but hen we realised the heating was broken, and the blind on one of the windows was broken (stuck open), so room was freezing (also smelt of pee in bathroom). Staff, after some under their breath moaning, moved us to a new room.
After first night, had no sleep as there was only 1 pillow per person in the room (you’d expect some spare in a wardrobe). When I asked for extra pillows the next night, the staff made out like it was a massive deal and basically complained about having to fetch them.
Basically, the location of the hotel is perfect, but the staff or management aren’t really to thank for that. They’re responsible for ensuring you have a good stay, and they completely lacked any decent hotel management qualities in that respect.
