Poor management / communication
Hotel sent us an email a week before arrival that gave details about check in. Included a note that said that the pool was closed in the off season starting in September. When we arrived we learned that the pool has been closed almost all season. Since June the lady at the counter said. I said that it’s unfortunate that the email that they sent didn’t include this information as it was still within the cancellation window and we could have changed to a different hotel as we were travelling with kids. She said “yeah I don’t know why we don’t update that email.”
I asked for management to speak to us about this but no one did. We were there for 3 nights. The hotel could have been more transparent about this as clearly people with children look for pools when booking. It’s disappointing that they don’t take 5 minutes to update their email that goes out and even more disappointing that management does not take the time to respond to customers. Will not stay here again. The hotel is also dated and the building we were in smells like engine oil.
