From the minute we checked in, things seemed to move downhill. Simply put, the service was terrible. At check-in, we were greated by Darnell. Fine enough check-in. Valet was great, extremely helpful. Fast-forward 5 minutes to our arrival in our room - Room 322. Ugh! Worst.Room. Ever. The beds looked strange....literally a step above a sleeping bag on the floor. Even worse, the outside temperature was 92F, and our room was holding steady at 77F. We set the temperature to 70F, but after 10 minutes, we became suspicious that the air was not working. My wife went down to talk to Darnell at the front desk. He "called" engineering to come to our room. After 20 minutes, the room temperature increased to around 79F....no engineering. This time, I went down to talk to the front desk, Darnell, to find out what was going out. He said, "I don't think engineering is going to come to your room." Well, it is a Sunday (5PM) so.......
Darnell offered to move us to another room - Room 727. What an upgrade. And the temperature, a nice 71F. Perfect. So, for all you folks that find yourself at check-in on the 3rd floor....demand something that is less 'brokedown palace" and more in-line with what a typical hotel room should be like.
Now, let's fast forward 10 minutes as we are all getting showered after a NINE HOUR DRIVE TO EAST LANSING....and we find out that the handy-dandy dispensers in the shower are all empty. Body soap...empty. Shampoo....empty. Conditioner...now why in the world woud you n
