My wife and I had one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever encountered. We were genuinely appalled by how the situation was handled and will never stay here again.
On our first night, we checked in, I took a shower, and noticed blood stains on one of the towels. We immediately brought it to the front desk, and while they replaced it, we were told that no manager or supervisor would be available to speak with us for four days. Later that night, when we went to bed, we discovered more blood stains on the bed sheets and pillowcase. Since it was late, we had no choice but to sleep on one side of the bed.
The next morning, we reported the issue and were told the linens would be replaced while we were out for the day. After being gone for more than 12 hours, we returned to find the bed made—but with the same stained sheets still on it. The bathroom had been cleaned, but the overall experience was simply unacceptable.
We later received a call from the manager, who offered a mere $25 credit for a $400 stay, and advised us to contact Hotels.com. Over the following week, Hotels.com was unable to reach the hotel for resolution.
This was an extremely disappointing and unsanitary experience, coupled with very poor customer service. I strongly recommend avoiding this property. We will be staying elsewhere when we return to Solvang.
