My husband and I joined friends for a quick weekend trip to Gatlinburg and booked this hotel since our friends were already staying here.
Check-in was smooth, and the front desk receptionist was fantasticāsuper friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of our stay.
When we got to our room (324), the front panel of the AC/heating unit was lying on the floor, and there was a strong, unpleasant odor. We thought it mightāve been a cleaning product at first, but quickly determined that to not be the case. (The smell was so bad we slept with the window open.)
I called the front desk and was told maintenance would fix the AC unit while we were out, which he did. Fast forward to Sunday around 1 AM (after a long day at Anakeesta and Dollywood). We open the door to our room and immediately notice the panel had fallen off again, I called the front desk *again* and was told there was no maintenance available and weād need to switch rooms. While I appreciated the staff trying to help, it was frustrating that the problem wasnāt fixed the first time. We were moved to room 315, a suite, which was a bit nicer, but overall, it still didnāt meet our expectations. The entire property needs a deep clean and possibly new management. This place has been neglected for a long time. Given the condition and the issues we encountered, I wouldnāt recommend this place, Iād suggest looking for other accommodations!!
