Great location, lovely views, in need of an update
The views are absolutely fantastic, we didn’t try golf or spa, so couldn’t comment on those. The hotel is dated and cleaning needs to massively improve. After our first night, room wasn’t cleaned, we checked at reception and they said they were still being done (around 4pm) we went back after dinner, towels were replaced even though we had hung two up to reuse and not used two, bed was pulled over not made and cups hadn’t been washed, water replaced.
Day 2, beds made, all towels replaced regardless of use, cups washed and no water. Very inconsistent, also cob webs everywhere, liquid splash marks up walls and stains on carpet.
We requested a downstairs room after a knee injury, this wasn’t acknowledged or actioned, but one lift was out of order and we had to drag suitcases up and down 3-4 sets of stairs, after three days I had to go back to using knee braces after being free of them for almost 6 weeks, so please bare in mind.
Also Peacocks are beautiful but wake early, the first night for us this was 02:30hrs.
We wouldn’t return due to cleanliness and noise from Peacocks.
