My recent stay at The Oakes Hotel fell far below acceptable standards due to several significant issues with room accuracy, maintenance, and basic safety.
Severe Safety Hazard: The most alarming issue was finding a sewing needle left in the bed. This is a serious oversight and a major safety risk for guests.
Inaccurate Room Description: The room was advertised as having two separate rooms, but it lacked a privacy door and only featured an open hallway. This did not match the booking description and offered zero privacy.
Plumbing Failures: The bathroom toilet repeatedly clogged to the point of becoming completely unusable, causing a major inconvenience during our stay.
Overall, the failure to clean the bed properly, inaccurate room layouts, and malfunctioning facilities made for an incredibly frustrating experience. I cannot recommend staying here until these operational and safety standards are addressed.
