A comedy of errors, no fix an awful bed situation.
Our stay was a comedy of errors. It's a surprisingly quiet apartment and a great location, but there's no fix for the awful bed situation.
Briefly:
- The double bed was made up with its inner-spring mattress upside down (tension springs on top)
- Even flipped right side up, the bed was incredibly uncomfortable (we've slept on pool floaties that were more comfortable)
- The "double pull-out bed" mentioned in the listing was an IKEA sofa that was empty inside, no pull-out
- When we asked for a partial refund, they offered to put the pull-out mattress back in the apartment (it couldn't be worse than the bed) - they didn't, and instead put sheets on the sofa cushions
- Wifi router was not set up (we asked for it to be fixed, we were given a replacement battery-powered puck the next day with no adapter)
- In-unit washer has a defective drum, clothes will be sopping wet and not properly washed
They didn't even entertain our request for a partial refund (on the basis of an inaccurate listing), they asked if the solution was to put the pull-out back into the apartment. I said we'd certainly appreciate the option but it wouldn't make up for a sleepless night, they asked if they could go into the apartment if we weren't there, I said yes. We removed the sheets from the sofa so they could put it in easier and went for another hike. Came back to find they did enter the apartment, and... made up the IKEA sofa as if it was a bed, no pull-out.
