Overall, we enjoyed our stay (mom with a 5-y-o). The room was certainly clean enough. The staff was LOVELY and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was good - better than many of the other breakfasts I’ve had at hotels.
However…
I called two days before our visit and asked about the pool. I was told that the pool would be under construction and closed during our stay. I unpacked the swimsuits that I had already packed. When we arrived, the front desk told me that the pool was actually open. That was mildly annoying.
Our room was fairly clean. The bathtub really needed attention, though. It did not look like it had been thoroughly cleaned at all. The wall in had obvious gunk on it that needed to be cleaned off. The soap dish looked to have soap scum all along the edges where it connected to the wall - top and bottom, so it’s not as if they just didn’t see it. The floor had dirt in the corners and on the edges.
Part of the metal door frame had rusted away. It just needed to be replaced.
The bed was pretty terrible, to be honest. I did not sleep well at all. It was hard. The quilt was the weight of a sheet. My five year-old referred to the pillows as “baby pillows.” Lol.
I believe I got a deal on the room and paid about $90 for the night. That’s reasonable for the stay. However, when I was considering extending our stay, so we could have more time in Nashville, the room we were in was $291 per night. There is no way that that hotel is worth $291.
