The place was ideally situated, and overall everything was fine at first. However, my stay was disrupted early in the morning when I woke up around 5:30–6:00 a.m. to loud noise, shouting, and police activity outside. It turned out there was a farmer’s market that day, and I had parked on the street where it was being set up. Unfortunately, nobody informed me in advance about this, so I was caught off guard and had to rush to move my car while vendors were already setting up around it. It was a stressful and unpleasant situation that could have easily been avoided with a simple notice.
I’ve attached photos showing how the street looked quiet and peaceful on Friday night compared to the next morning during the farmer’s market, just to show the contrast.
I also texted the property management explaining what happened and asked if I could extend my checkout slightly since I had been woken up so early. Instead of a considerate response, I received a generic message saying they couldn’t extend and that I needed to check out by 10:59 — ironically, even earlier than their stated time. Around 10:15, the cleaning lady was already waiting at the door and seemed upset that I hadn’t checked out yet, even though I left at 11.
The town itself is beautiful, and the property has potential, but the lack of communication and poor handling of the situation made it a negative experience. I wouldn’t stay here again or at any property managed by AIRSTAY !
