I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at La Quinta Inn & Suites Tamarac. I traveled with my autistic son, and while check-in was smooth and the front desk staff was very kind, the hotel itself is in serious need of major repairs. The first room we received did not feel safe at all. While giving my son a bath, I noticed dried blood on the side of the toilet. This was extremely alarming. Although the attendant did change our room, I was told that because I booked through a third party, my options were limited, which was unacceptable given the situation.
I had a total of five nights booked under two separate reservations. When it was time to move to the second reservation, I again requested a different room. Even though the room was considered an upgrade, I still did not feel safe and asked to be moved. Once again, I was told that because I booked through a third party, no room change could be made. At that point, I was completely frustrated and decided to leave early. I was scheduled to check out on Saturday but ended up leaving Friday due to the conditions.
To add to the experience, I have not received my receipt or my deposit refund.
I am requesting a prompt refund for the unused night, an explanation for why room changes were denied despite clear health and safety concerns, the immediate return of my deposit, and a copy of my final invoice.
