Unfortunately, our stay at Sonesta Suites was not a good experience, and it felt like a waste of money.
Upon arrival, we were informed that there is a $5–$6 per night parking fee. This was surprising, as our booking through Hotels.com indicated that parking was included. We only found out about the charge when we checked in.
After going to our room, my husband and I noticed a strong cigarette smell throughout the room, which made it uncomfortable to stay in. We went back downstairs and were moved to another room. While the second room did not have a cigarette smell, it was still in poor condition and not properly cleaned.
Housekeeping did not service our room the next day. The sheets were never changed, and we had to request clean towels ourselves. Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms did not match what was advertised online.
The front desk associate was polite, but there was little assistance in resolving the issues we experienced.
I’m sharing this review to help other guests be aware of these concerns before booking. I hope management addresses cleanliness, housekeeping, and transparency with fees to improve the experience for future guests.
